#Bendy and the ink machine chapter 2 demo series
Though it is very short, as it can be completed in around twenty minutes, there are a lot of things to appreciate, and the series shows a lot of promise. Cartoon-themed survival horror game that will haunt your dreamsīased on this first chapter, Bendy and the Ink Machine certainly has our attention. Play as Boris the Wolf, the cartoon companion of Bendy, as you hunt throughout the abandoned cartoon studio for the supplies Boris needs to keep going. A few additional gameplay mechanics are introduced towards the end of the chapter, though, so we will probably see more of them in future installments. The puzzle you need to complete is very straightforward. There aren’t a lot of jump scares to be wary of, but they are very well timed. The gameplay is relatively simple, as you only need to gather a few objects and activate a few switches in order to complete your mission. It makes you wonder why our hero thought it was a good idea to activate the machine in the first place, especially with all the ominous messages that have been written on the walls. Turn on the creepy-looking ink machine, what could go wrong? The sepia art style gives the game a unique look, and it contrasts well with the cheerful posters on the walls, making it seem like whatever is happening here is, plain and simply, wrong.
It does not take long to realize that some very strange things are going on. The main character is invited by a friend to visit an old cartoon workshop, where, of course, our protagonist finds himself all alone. If Disney were to make a horror game, this is what it would look likeįrom the backstory to the setting, everything pretty much screams vintage cartoon. And come to life they will, but not in the form you were probably expecting. The game is very straight forward and doesnt ask for much in terms of puzzle solving and progression.

I have only two aspects to criticise the first one luckily is easily solvable: I found a bit annoying the decision to make everything you see so blurry, so I preferred to deactivate the option and the second one is regarding the voice acting: your character sounds strangely relaxed, considering the creepy situation in which he is involved. This texture pack is only the demo version of the bendy and the ink machine. Depending on how skillful you are, the game can take you between twenty and forty worthy minutes to solve it. Regarding the gameplay, in this first entry what you need to do is to find several hidden objects scattered throughout the level I have to remark, in this sense, the excellent level design, because although these items are in very logical places, it still can be pretty challenging to spot them.
